What is Black Tea?

Black tea is a variety of tea that is more oxidized than the green, oolong and white varieties.

All four varieties (black, green, oolong, white) are made from leaves of Camellia sinensis. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine than the less oxidized teas. One advantage of black tea over the other teas is that black tea retains its flavor for several years. This makes it very common all over the world as well as the most popular tea in the US. China, India, and Sri Lanka are a few of the larger producers of black tea. Black Tea has many health benefits associated with it. Find out more about the benefits of black tea.
